Everyone thought Peppy the Paint was a peculiar horse.  Then he met Ruby.  She said he was perfect!  This story was inspired by the real Peppy.

A paint is a breed of horse with special colour markings.  Pigeon House mountain is a well known landmark near Ulladulla, NSW which was identified by Captain Cook.

About the author - Sue Hays

Sue is the author of Molly Moo from Mollymook, Peppy the Paint from Pigeon House and Monty the Mutt from Milton. All her works are illustrated by long term friend Kay Barber, an accomplished water colour artist.

Sue lives near Milton, within sight of Pigeon House Mountain.

She has a special interest in early language and spent many years teaching young children.
